About Our Instructors:

Amanda Stacevicz (Pitching-Hitting-Defense) Amanda played Division I softball at the University of Delaware, graduating in 2013, where she successfully both anchored the pitching staff and batted in the lineup for 4-years.  After college she had the opportunity to coach 18u travel ball (NJ Pride Gold) and gave private lessons when not at a full time marketing job. Available for instruction on Tuesday & Thursday nights. 

Olivia Lawrence (Hitting-Catching-Defense) Olivia played Division I softball at the University of South Carolina, graduating in 2015, where she was team captain 2014-2015. While at South Carolina she posted three marks in the career top 15. Stands 10th in home runs per game (0.09) and 15th in career home runs (13).  Also tied for 10th on the career charts in hit by pitches (12) and finished her career ranking fourth on the catchers' fielding percentage charts during the Southeastern Conference era (.985). Available for instruction on Monday & Tuesday nights. 

Eve Clausen 
(Pitching/Hitting/Defensive Lessons)was born and raised in central New Jersey. Attended the Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ where she was a four-year varsity softball letter winner, graduating in May of 2011. While at Peddie, Eve garnered first team All-Prep pitching honors. She was the leader in strikeouts along with the leader in homeruns throughout her high school conference and the county during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Eve continued her softball pitching career at Elon University where she played Division 1 softball, graduating in May 2015 with a degree in Exercise Sport Science. During her career at Elon, her team made two appearances at the conference tournament, her senior year placing third in the CAA. Eve Clausen, although injured during her time at Elon, finished her career with a 1.75 ERA.. Eve is committed to helping younger players learn to play the game and to be the best players they can be. She is motivated to help players learn the ins and outs of hitting and softball pitching, providing experienced skilled lessons. Available for instruction on Wednesday

Taylor Cheek (Hitting/Pitching/Catching/Fielding/Slap Hitting)
is originally from McColl, SC and attended Marlboro County High School.  She played varsity all four years (2010-2014) and was named All Region all four seasons.  In 2014 she was also named All State, most Athletic Female and Wendy's Heisman Award.  Taylor attended and played softball at Queens University of Charlotte where she received a BS in Health Sciences.  After college Taylor was Head Softball Coach for Myers Park Traditional Little League in 2017.  She is currently in her fourth season with The Lady Blues Travel Softball Organization (12-14u) and the team has been ranked in the top 20 of the NC state rankings 3x.  2019 was the first season as Head Coach for the varsity softball team at Butler High School where the team finished with a 12-5 record and finished 4th in the Southwestern 4A Conference.   Available for instruction on Tuesdays & Fridays.

Kelsey Burgess

(IF/OF/Hitting Lessons)- Kelsey was a three sport athlete in high school, where she received All-State and All-Conference honors in both softball and basketball. She was also named Gaston County‚Äôs Female Athlete of the Year in 2010. Kelsey played Division II softball at Catawba College, where she graduated in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Science. While at Catawba, she appeared in 3 conference tournaments as well as one Southeast Regional tournament. Since graduating she has coached travel ball and has given private softball lessons. She is also a certified personal trainer and specializes in strength and conditioning, as well as speed and agility training. Available for instruction on Saturday

Janine Hill - (Pitching/Hitting/Defensive Lessons) is from Somerville, New Jersey where she attended Somerville High School. While at SHS, she was an All-Conference selection in softball, basketball and field hockey.  Janine was inducted into the Somerville High School Hall of Fame in 1999.  She accepted a softball scholarship to attend UNC Charlotte.  At Charlotte, she was a four-year starter and remains in the top five in nearly every career offensive and pitching category for the 49ers.  She became the first player in Charlotte 49ers history to be drafted and played professionally for the Durham Dragons of the WPFSL (1999).  Janine graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in Mathematics.  She began her coaching career at West Mecklenburg High School in 2000, where she coached basketball and softball while teaching Math.

  Following her stint at WMHS, Janine continued to teach Math and served as Head Softball Coach at Central Cabarrus H.S. (2001-02), where she led the 2001 Vikings team to the State Final Game.  She was named Conference Coach of the Year in each of her three seasons as a high school coach.  She also spent two seasons as the Head Softball Coach at Quail Hollow Middle School (2015-16).  Janine has been a constant presence and positive influence in the community as a teacher, private instructor and coach for more nearly 20 years.  In addition to working as an instructor at On Deck Academy, she teaches at South Mecklenburg High School and serves as Head Coach for Team NC 18U-Hill.  Please email for Janine's available days/times.
