9u-12u Hitting Class (1 Spot)

Description & Objective:
This class will consist of proper swing mechanics, effective hand path, and mental preparation at the plate. Week 1 will consist of basic stance, proper hand path, lower half mechanics with the emphasis on hard contact. Week 2 will introduce the timing of the swing, how to react to different speeds, and seeing the pitch early. Week 3, we will focus on the mental preparation at the plate and introduce different situations and how to prepare for success. Week 4 will be an all-in-all recap of the class with lots of situational hitting and competitions.

9U-12U Pitching Class (SESSION IS FULL)

Dates; Mondays Feb 20, Feb 27th, March 6, March 13
Time: 6-7PM
Ages: 9U-12U
Description & Objective:
This class will consist of fundamental pitching mechanics, arm care, velocity improvement, and accuracy improvement. Week 1 will consist of the basic stretch mechanics, proper arm action in the pitching motion, and the 4 seam fastball grip. Week 2 will introduce the 2 seam fastball grip, lower half mechanics, and proper finishing actions. Week 3 will work into the changeup grip, when to throw different pitches, and how to command the zone with each pitch. Week 4 will be an overall recap with a bullpen style environment. Coming off of the fall season, players can expect to actually pitch about 16-20 pitches per session (Week 4 will be closer to 24-30).
Middle School Infield Class (CLASS IS FULL!)

Description & Objective:
On Deck Academy infield classes will teach each participant the necessary fielding mechanics through a proven developmental process that leads to success and enjoyment at every level of the game. Players will benefit from customized drill routines, quality repetitions, and fundamental teaching while training in a small group atmosphere (4:1 player/coach ratio). Players will benefit from learning drills that they can take home with them and be able to use in any environment. In addition to fundamental development, players will learn how to anticipate and visualize themselves in game-like situations.
