UPDATED 9/16/2021

Moving forward, we will expect all families, players, coaches, and staff members to adhere to and follow the below requirements and guidelines.

1) MASKS ARE MANDATORY AT BOTH OUR INDIAN TRAIL AND ENGLAND STREET FACILITIES.  THE MASK MAY BE REMOVED WHILE THEY ARE TRAINING, BUT MUST BE WORN WHEN ENTERING THE FACILITY, EXITING THE FACILITY, OR STANDING IDLE IN THE FACILITY.  PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN AN INDOOR PRACTICE IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A MASK.

2) ONLY PLAYERS AND COACHES ARE ABLE TO ENTER OUR INDIAN TRAIL AND/OR ENGLAND STREET FACILITIES.

3) PLAYERS, COACHES, AND ALL STAFF MUST ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AND PROTOCOLS REGARDING:
 - CLOSE CONTACT/EXPOSURE
 - POSITIVE COVID CASE
 - EXPERIENCING COVID SYMPTOMS

'CLOSE CONTACT', QUARANTINING FOR VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS:
My child or a coach is vaccinated and has been deemed to have been in “close contact”, but is experiencing no symptoms.
- The player and/or coach may continue activities BUT WEAR A MASK AT ALL ACTIVITIES INDOOR AND OUTDOOR.  They MUST ALSO get a PCR test between day 3 and 5 of their 'close contact'.  If that test comes back as negative, that individual can return to all activities with no restriction.  If the player or coach begins to experience ANY symptoms, at any point, they must immediately quarantine until their PCR test result is received.  If that test result is positive, then they must continue to quarantine for 10 days from the start of their symptoms.  If that test result is negative, then they may return to activities with no restrictions.

'CLOSE CONTACT', QUARANTINING FOR UNVACCINATED INDIVIDUALS:
My child or a coach is unvaccinated and has been deemed to have been in 'close contact', that player or coach has two options to return to team activities.

Option 1:  The "close contact" must quarantine from On Deck activities for a period of 10 days without experiencing any symptoms during that 10-day time frame before returning to any team activities indoor or outdoor.

Option 2:  The "close contact" can return to activities after a 7-day quarantine period if he/she has received a negative PCR COVID test result (test must be taken between day 5 and 7).

POSITIVE COVID CASE
Any player, student, coach, or staff member who is confirmed as testing positive for COVID MUST quarantine from all On Deck activities for a period of 10 days.  Vaccination status does not matter if it is a confirmed positive case of COVID.  In order to return to activities at On Deck, all of the following criteria must be met:

1. 10 days have passed since the first day that symptoms appeared.
2. It has been 24 hours since the last fever (without the use of fever reducing medication)
3. All other symptoms, such as coughing and shortness of breath, have improved.

**If the positive individual never experienced any symptoms, the 10-day countdown starts from the date of the positive COVID test result.  However, if symptoms begin at any point after the positive test result, the 10-day countdown starts from the date that the individual began showing symptoms. **

EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF COVID
If a player, coach, or staff member begins to show visible symptoms of Covid while at a practice or game, they will be dismissed from practices both indoor or outdoor, games, or individual/group lessons.  On Deck Staff will reach out the next day to discuss the next steps to return to team or individual activities.  These circumstances will be determined on a case-by-case basis which may or may not include quarantine and/or testing.  We ask that you, the parents, be our first line of defense and not send your player to a practice (indoor or outdoor), tournament game(s), individual training session, or group camp/training session if they are experiencing any symptoms of Covid.

We appreciate you reading this completely and adhering to the guidelines to which On Deck will operate.  It is important for everyone to know that we do not have the time nor the resources to schedule make-up events due to COVID-related issues, nor will we be able to issue any refunds. We all have a common goal of having our players on the field playing and growing their passion for the game of baseball.  We must do everything we can to ensure that our players, coaches, staff, and families are doing this in a safe and responsible way.  We look forward to the continued growth and seeing our players compete in practices and games.

Sincerely,

Kevin Hill, Jason Hill, and Staff
